Bright Smiles, Christine, and her partner Matt are extremely excited to share that they are expecting a new addition to their family in August!
We also want to welcome Leeanne to our team to help while Christine takes 10 weeks off to care for their little one. Christine will have limited clinic hours from August 8th to October 19th and will be returning to her regular hours on October 20th. Voicemails and emails will still be checked on a regular basis.
Appointments will be available during this time with Leeanne on Saturdays. Please contact the office to set up your next appointment!
Bright Smiles is excited to announce that we will be reopening the clinic starting on Monday, June 8th!
We are now booking appointments and contacting everyone who had their appointments cancelled due to Covid-19. Feel free to contact us to schedule your next appointment!
Our commitment to your health and safety is top priority which is why we are implementing all required and recommended changes to practice. As we make the transition back, we will adhere to enhanced pandemic guidelines laid out by our regulatory college and government public health measures.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
I’m so grateful for amazing friends and the support I receive during the good times and the not so easy ones, too! Covid-19 has been tough on everyone, especially small businesses which is why we feel blessed to announce a partnership with Raising Kane!
Raising Kane is more than just a clothing company. They represent a movement in inspiring children around the world to do the right thing, to go the extra mile, and to stand out! Bright Smiles is lucky to have been chosen to receive 20% of proceeds this week from all “Rory” t-shirts sold which will go towards helping those in need in our community receive the oral health care they require and deserve at no cost to them after the pandemic during our Give Where You Live charity days.
Check out Raising Kane’s website to learn more and to purchase a “Rory” t-shirt on sale for $19.99 that should be a staple in your wardrobe!
Please note, as of Friday, March 13th Bright Smiles in temporarily closed until further notice to help stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Please watch for updates on our Facebook page and website.
Stay healthy everyone.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, please be advised:
Upon arrival in the reception area, please advise us if you have travelled to any locations confirmed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to have confirmed cases of COVID-19, also known as the new coronavirus. Any travel completed between December and now is considered recent travel.
We advise that at least two weeks have passed since your return from one of the CDC-reported countries and no symptoms have presented, we can then proceed with the appointment.
We advise any client experiencing acute respiratory illness, including symptoms of fever, cough or shortness of breath, to remain home and reschedule appointments.
All clients are prescreened for any symptoms of communicable disease or acute respiratory infections such as influenza, fever, cough, vomiting, diarrhea, or cold and must be rescheduled in order to prevent the spread of microorganisms.
Screening will be completed before each appointment to determine whether a communicable disease risk exists and to assess the risk of exposure to blood, body fluids, secretions, excretions and non-intact skin and thus identify the strategies that will decrease exposure risk throughout the dental hygiene appointment.
Bright Smiles was pleased to be able to help The Salvation Army with their “care kits” this year by donating toothbrushes, floss, and toothpaste.
Bright Smiles recently had the pleasure of spending some time at Indian Creek Road Public School meeting with four grade 2 and 3 classes. We reviewed brushing, flossing, nutrition, and oral health and overall health.
The students had some wonderful questions and made for a fun afternoon of learning!
Thank you to Colgate’s “Bright Smiles, Bright Futures” for the toothbrushes and toothpaste for all 86 children.
On Saturday, Bright Smiles along with our amazing volunteers, hosted our 19th Give Where You Live charity day! We provided just shy of $2,000 in FREE dental hygiene services and have now reached over $45,000 in care provided at no cost to those in need in our community!

The Gift from the Heart is a registered Canadian charity which links Canadians who experience barriers accessing oral health care with dental hygienists.
The Gift from the Heart vision and mission statements align with ours here at Bright Smiles and our Give Where You Live initiative.
The Gift from the Heart hopes for a future where all Canadians who experience barriers will have access to oral health care through a dental hygienist and ultimately experience improved overall health outcomes.
The Gift from the Heart project links Canadians with dental hygienists, raises awareness about access to oral health care issues and emphasizes the role of the dental hygienist as a primary oral health care provider.

We read “The Tooth Book” by Dr. Seuss and reviewed nutrition and proper oral care.
The children asked some wonderful questions and it was a nice break on a rainy day!

Christine had the pleasure of spending the morning with Mr. Mark Benoit, Chair of the School of Academic Studies for the St. Clair College Chatham campus. After graduating from the Windsor campus over 13 years ago, she was able to visit the new Centre for Applied Health Sciences building and learn all about the innovative partnerships, research and development and programs they offer.
